Senators joined a project that has “the use of high visibility reflective vest at night and when visibility conditions so require.”
“During the night and when visibility conditions so require, bicycle riders should always wear reflective high visibility vest.” This is the main slogan of the bill that senators Alejandro Navarro entered, Lily and Antonio Horvath Congress.
The initiative amending Article 80 of Law 18,290, Transit, establishing and shall be considered by the Committee on Transport and Telecommunications, noted that “despite the advantages of cycling as a means of transport many cyclists and people generally they have difficulty using reflective tape daily, among which is the insecurity of their cities, whose geography are not suitable for driving on streets outside the vehicle drivers do not respect their path and therefore may be victims of an accident traffic”.
