“Znicz” action and change of traffic organization

We have before us festive days during which we will especially visit the graves of our relatives. During this period, the increased strength of the Police from Nowy CZ will keep watch over the safety of travelers and people visiting the burial sites of their loved ones. Police officers will serve in the cemeteries, on access roads to them and on the main communication routes of Nowy CZ and the Nowy CZ poviat, and their main task will be to ensure smoothness and traffic safety, as well as to help travelers safely reach the relatives’ graves.

Five days (from October 31 to November 4) the Znicz police action is hard work not only for many policemen from the Road Traffic Department or the Prevention Department of the CZ Command but also for police officers who will appear in the area of civilian cemeteries. All this to help the inhabitants of the provinces and visitors safely reach the burial sites of relatives.

Officers, as usual at this time, will check if drivers are sober and move at a safe speed. For the safety of all travelers, they will check if children are transported in the appropriate car seats, and the driver and passengers have their seatbelts fastened, as well as whether the vehicles are not overloaded and what their technical condition is.

Due to the change in the organization of traffic in the area of many cemeteries, police officers will also inform about road disruptions or access to the car park.

In connection with increased inspections, police officers advise that each driver before the trip prepares a car for travel, checked the brakes performance, lights operation, as well as the validity of the insurance policy and the date of technical tests. The car should contain a first aid kit, a fire extinguisher, a warning triangle, a reflective vest, and a spare wheel. Even small elements of the car’s equipment are important during a long journey. Such a prosaic matter as, for example, spare bulbs, can definitely affect our safety.

Pedestrians should also take care of their safety. Police officers remind that from August 31, 2014, not only children but every adult after dark outside the built-up area must wear reflective clothing that will be visible to other road users. It should be remembered that non-compliance with this provision may result in a fine of PLN 20 to 500 and police officers will impose fines for the lack of a reflective element, but the most important thing is that such a small element of clothing can protect against tragedy on the road.

Both the pedestrian and the driver should be aware that after dark, the driver driving with the low beam lights on can see the pedestrian from a distance of about 25-30 meters from the car bonnet. However, if it travels at a speed exceeding 80-90 km / h, most often there is no chance of avoiding the deduction because it moves at a speed of about 25 meters per second. When the pedestrian is equipped with any reflective tapes that reflects the light of the car, the driver will notice it already from a distance of 130-150 meters, which is about 5 times faster! The conclusion is obvious: such a small element of clothing, which is a reflection, can save a life!

Caution should not be lost at graves, in public transport or during shopping. The thief is often very difficult to recognize. It can be nice, cultured, obliging, offer help, and at the same time deprive the wallet. It is important, therefore, to avoid crowds (especially artificial ones that make pickpockets), and with limited confidence approach new people, especially when they show too much interest in our affairs or an intrusive willingness to help.

When choosing a cemetery, do not take, if possible, larger amounts of money. It is good to have the amount of money deducted for shopping and keep it in a different place than your wallet and documents, and when paying for shopping in a shop or at the attic booth, do not show how much money we have with you.

Let’s also remember that when ordering graves, do not leave bags or sachets on the monument or bench, even for a moment.

When you come to the cemetery area by your own car, do not leave any valuables inside, such as luggage, handbag, laptop, mobile phone or radio panel. If for some reason we have to leave such things in the vehicle, they should be hidden, for example into the trunk, and preferably taken with you. Often it happens that the object stolen as a result of breaking the glass is much less valuable or even worthless compared to the value of the broken glass.

The safety of travelers and visitors of cemeteries in Decadency will be taken care of by a large group of police officers from Nowy CZ, however, one should be aware that for safe access to the destination, security for themselves and their relatives, as well as proper security of property, we primarily answer ourselves.
