Luckily safety vest saved him.

It was after 2 races at Halmstad as the horse Red Passion came loose at the stables.

The driver behind the horse, elite apprentice Peter, was hit several kicks off the horse in doing so.

According to sports director at Halmstad, Rene Jensen, then hit the parks in Ingves chest and on his leg.

Line medic looked up Ingves in place and summoned an ambulance, which took him to the hospital for further observation.

– It is difficult for me to say no status on Peter, if the leg is broken or not, says Jensen Trav365.

“It was boring”

Ingves colleague Petri Puro is in place on the course and arrived to him after the accident.

– It was sad what happened. He got a kick on the leg, below the knee, and it was a lot of blood down at the stocking. It was bleeding quite heavily. He could not stand up, luckily wear a safety clothing, he says.

– He’s in the hospital now, but I do not know what he has received for damages, it may just be a muscle injury?

“Very pains”

Trav365 got hold of Peter Ingves few hours after it happened and then he was still in hospital.

– Right now I am waiting for results and have quite a lot of pain in the right leg. They took X-rays and we will see, he says.

What just happened?

– Probably so was the horse bakrädd when I jerked tussarna and began beating after the finish. The horse hit in the chest, but I had a safety reflective vest on me. But I was also hit in the right leg. We will see if there is a fracture or if it is just a muscle injury.

Peter Ingves has won 27 of 212 races this year and run in just over two million. Although he has an apprentice license so he is considered the common man like a pro, as he is very experienced. 56-year-old was among the other regular driver behind the superstar Commander Crowe in 2009 and 2010.
