“Safe Road to School” action

As every year, from September the police action begins: “Safe way to school”. The officers will watch over safety and order in road traffic, in school areas and on roads that lead to schools and upbringing facilities in the initial period of education, after the summer break.

A constant element of the “Safe Way to School” activities is inviting police officers to meet parents and to learn communication with children. Classes with a police are always a big attraction for children, which encourages them to learn about traffic rules. The knowledge of officers from “roadsters” who, apart from discussing the most important regulations, are able to give practical advice to children and point out the most dangerous places in the school area, cannot be overestimated. Shaping the right habits in children is tedious work, but it pays off, because these habits stay for life.

We remind parents that not every first grader can be an independent participant in road traffic. According to art. 43 of the Road Traffic Act, a child under 7 years of age may use the road only under the care of a person aged 10 or more (this does not apply to the residence zone and the road intended for pedestrians only). A very important factor increasing road safety is wearing reflective tapes or reflective clothing. Parents who bring children to school should also remember about the obligation to carry them in protective car seats or special seats. The child under the school should be taken out of the car from the side of the pavement or shoulder, not from the side of the road.

The campaign “Safe way to school” is addressed both to children and to all adults, in particular to parents and teachers who have an educational obligation.

This year, Radio Olsztyn joined the activity giving away children who started the school year with reflective vests.

The “Safe Way to School” campaign will last until September 9.

Fatal accident at DW-835

Policemen explain the circumstances of the road accident that occurred on DW-835. Preliminary findings show that the 29-year-old driver of the Toyota vehicle in undeveloped and unlit land struck a woman who did not have reflective vests. 31-year-old resident of the commune suffered death as a result of the incident. Once again, we remind you REMEMBER THE REFLECTIONS.

The accident happened yesterday evening at around 20:40 in the town at DW-835. Preliminary findings show that 29-year-old driver of the Toyota brand rode from the direction of Bagel towards Lublin. In an undeveloped and unlit area, the right front of the vehicle was hit by a pedestrian, which did not have reflective materials. As follows from the preliminary findings of the police officers, the woman ran across the road in a place not designated as a pedestrian crossing, from the left side to the right in the direction of the vehicle’s movement. As a result of the event, the 31-year-old resident of the commune suffered death. The driver of the car, tested by the uniformed for alcohol content in the body – sober.

Policemen worked on the site under the supervision of the prosecutor. Due to the incident, for almost 4 hours DW-835 was blocked, and the traffic took place on detours organized by the police. Now officers explain all the circumstances of this accident.

Once again, we remind you REMEMBER THE REFLECTIONS. Every pedestrian, which moves at dusk along the way outside the built-up area, must have a reflector placed in a visible way for the drivers. Remember, a pedestrian dressed in a dark outfit is seen by the driver of the vehicle at a distance of about 40 meters. However, a walking person wearing reflective elements becomes visible even from a distance of 150 meters. Reflective elements may include attachments for clothing, headbands, vests and leashes. It is important to place them: the reflective fabrics are recommended to be placed at the level of knees, hands, around the center of the chest and back – then we will be sure that they are clearly visible to other road users. We also appeal to wear reflections in built-up areas.

Work clothes are also part of the corporate identity

“Workwear is used in many sectors of activity, in some cases it is used to avoid certain risks for workers, in others it is simply a way of identifying the staff of a company, but in most cases it ends up becoming something more than part of the corporate image of the company “indicate from Valera.

Law 31/1995 in relation to the prevention of occupational hazards obliges employers to equip their workers with personal protective equipment (like reflective vests and helmets ) when the risks cannot be avoided collectively. That is to say, any equipment -clothes between them- destined to be taken by the worker to protect him from one or several risks. Examples include shoes with safety toecaps, high visibility, antibacterial or thermal clothing; anti-cut gloves and a long etcetera. And it is time to take another step and, since it is necessary – with or without the law – to personalize it and make it part of the corporate image itself.

This type of garment manages to stand out from the crowd, create a collective conscience in relation to the need for safety of its workers and contributing to improve the corporate image of the company. On the other hand, it should be noted that workers who wear uniforms with reflective materials have a greater sense of belonging to the company than those who do not use it, which translates into higher final productivity.

“When choosing the right uniform, we must take into account various factors such as functionality, freedom of movement, ergonomics, safety and comfort, which are why the advice when purchasing these garments is an essential requirement. , especially because the security itself is part of the image they project and that can make a client to decide for the brand when they see their work commitment, “they comment on Valera.

In view of all the above, there is no doubt that the use of safety clothing by workers entails too many advantages that should not go unnoticed by entrepreneurs, both new and existing.

Reflective umbrella

In recent years, more and more reflective materials have been used in our lives, such as reflective vests, reflective raincoats, ring-sleeves, and fire suits. These are more common in our lives, and reflective umbrellas are less concerned. .

Reflective umbrellas are mainly made of printed reflective fabrics. In recent days, it was the rainy season in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. Precipitation was abundant, and some areas even experienced floods and floods. In this rainy season, consumers’ demand for purchasing umbrellas has also greatly increased. Reflective umbrellas produced by us, while satisfying users’ requirements for sun protection and rain protection, also have a reflective effect and can be your choice.

In addition some drivers always use the flash light at night. As a result, the driver can only see the pedestrian within 3 meters and cause blindness for 3 seconds. The vision in the rain is even more blurred. This kind of situation is very dangerous! Supporting reflective umbrellas, on dark rainy nights, can warn drivers and prevent pedestrians from hurting. It also protects our own safety.

At the same time, reflective fabric of the reflective safety umbrella adopts our advanced reflective materials and technology. The quality inspection meets the EN471-2 standard, which is the same standard as the dedicated uniform. Environmental protection is pollution-free, and the reflective effect and durability are of high quality.

Reflective ideas improve the safety of children

Safety of children on the road and learning about traffic rules are the goals of the “Reflective school” competition. One of the institutions participating in it is the Primary School of the “Elementary” Foundation.

At the end of the competition, the school celebrated a festival crowning the efforts of students, teachers, firemen and policemen.

As the representative of the branch Jack informs in the presence of the representatives of the Parents’ Council, the police and the guard, all the “reflective” activities were mentioned from the beginning of the year to the end of October.

During the campaign, all students were equipped with reflective vests and reflective materials to improve their visibility on the road. There were educational activities related to road safety and to preparation for the bicycle treadmill exam.

A reflective happening and walks around the area were organized to remind residents of the importance of reflections and how much they protect the pedestrian. The policemen told the students about the rules of the road traffic. Children also learned road signs, learned to do them, draw them to remember. All students were learning about the importance of wearing reflective clothing at night.

At the final gala, there were awards in competitions organized as part of the “Reflective School”.

Preventive plan in busy roads

Staff of the Ministry of Public Security (SSP), in coordination with the Municipal Police, began the delivery of 250 reflective vests to motorcyclists and cyclists, who travel daily to towns, ranches or milpas.

On Tuesday morning in the morning municipal police performed this work in control posts installed on the roads mentioned.

William Piña Carrillo, deputy director of the Municipal Police, said that this program is part of the security device promoted by the Alfa Group of the SSP to prevent accidents that involve people traveling daily to communities or work centers on motorcycles, tricycles and bicycles.

Reflective vests with reflective tapes were already delivered, he explained.

“People are recommended to wear the safety clothing for their safety when traveling on those roads,” he said. – M.C.B.

Reflective elements are still underestimated

Since the beginning of August, the police have been trapped in five tragic accidents, and a pedestrian died after a car accident. They become less noticeable early in the morning or in the evening. Although pedestrians have had to wear reflective vests since last year, they are not even used to it.

Morning fog and early black. In this season, just to increase the visibility reduction time, similar accidents will increase. In recent days, there are only two in southern Moravia. On August 15th and August 9th. For the first time, a pedestrian who was seriously injured in the hospital died and was killed in the second.

This year, after a guard in August, a total of five pedestrians died in the Czech Republic, with 20 people throughout the year and 20 in 2015. “Pedestrians should be aware that when they go to work early in the morning, it is still dark and must wear reflective elements,” said high school spokeswoman Alice Messier.

The police quickly set off early and pedestrians warned them that they were in danger. “When I am very light, I will go, but not now, this is true,” said a policeman who immediately equipped with reflective tapes.

Wearing reflective elements, when it comes to pedestrian villages, is not only in the dark, but when dawn or vice versa, it is dark, there is no sidewalk or street lighting on the road, it is already mandatory for more than a year. “The reflective material has been beautiful to see two hundred meters, the driver was able to give it and respond at ninety speed” SCUBA’s Paul Ciskei explained.

Pedestrians must carry reflective elements such as sleeves or belts to reduce the visibility of the garment. This regulation applies to people moving on the roadside outside the non-illuminated area or area of the community. Part of the amendment to the Road Traffic Act should primarily increase the safety of pedestrians.

If the pedestrian is not in the dark, the fog or haze on the road is marked by a reflective element, and a fine of up to two thousand dollars may be imposed in the program. In administrative proceedings, penalties range from 1,500 to 2,500 kroner.

Reflective vests cleaning tips

Nowadays, the use of reflective safety vests in life is more and more common, and the consumption of reflective clothing is also increasing. How to use correctly and wash it to prolong its service life is everybody’s concern. Now let’s talk about the items that should be paid attention to during the cleaning process.

Reflective clothing was made of reflective fabric which was used in a use of special technics in its’ production process. So we cannot rub and wring while cleaning the reflective vests, because it can damage the reflective fabric, thus affecting the normal use of the reflective vests.

Second, it cannot soak in water that over 30 degrees, with too high temperature water immersion will damage the reflective effect of clothes, while the reflective vests cannot be placed in the washing machine.

Finally, when drying, it cannot be placed under the sun exposure, sun exposure will weaken the effect of the reflection of clothes. If there is a little mud stain or stain on the safety vests, just wipe it with a soft fabric. When you really need to wash, you must choose to use neutral detergent to wash, and then placed in the shade to dry.

Therefore, in order to make the life of reflective vests longer, we must clean clothes according to the correct way.

Reflective vest is the surprise gift

On Tuesday, numerous motorcyclists who were traveling on the avenue of 37th Street in the west of the city were taken by surprise by a checkpoint of the Ministry of Public Security (SSP).

Many said they first thought they were stopped for a review of the vehicle and documents, but it turned out that the agents distributed reflective vests to all the motorcyclists who passed by.

In 37 with 128, the SSP has a booth that is located near the La Calera fishing pier, along the route of the Nueva Yucalpetén colony.

At 12:30 hours, SSP agents parked a patrol with the light on and started to stop the motorcyclists.

But not to inspect the motorcycles, nor if they have plates and bills, but to deliver reflective vests with reflective materials to the guides and companions.

The police told them that the vests are a gift from the state government for all motorcyclists.

They asked them to put them on and use them whenever they travel because they are reflective and for motorcyclists they are very helpful.

Knowing about the gift of hi vis vests, other motorcyclists went to the checkpoint to obtain one.

Should I wear a reflective vest

Motorcycle biker mortality on the roads is on the rise again. Cyclists and motorists are also singled out. But over the year and all categories combined, the number of deaths on the roads is slightly lower: 3,693 (metropolitan and overseas), 45 fewer than in 2016 (-1.2%).

That is not going to work in the hands of those who want to change the course of things in terms of road safety. Difficult indeed to fight against the passage of 90 to 80 km/h on the two-way roads without central separator when the number of deaths on the roads in 2017 of the two main categories of users, the biker-scooters and the motorists, leaves again to the rise.

Black year for bikers

Bikers and scooters have paid a heavy price in 2017. 669 death is 53 more than in 2016. This corresponds to a rise of 9%. Motorists do better with a little less than 1% increase but still see their number of deaths on the road from 1760 to 1770. In contrast, cyclists, like bikers, show a significant increase of 6% in from 162 to 172 death in 2017 compared to 2016.

It’s better for other users

For their part, pedestrians see their statistics decline encouragingly, if we still deplore 488 death in 2017, this figure is down 13% from 2016 where there were 559, or 71 of more. The number of 2018 is being counted.

These numbers we do not speak about

If we add the statistics of pedestrians and cyclists, non-motorized users in total, we arrive at a total of 660 death. It’s almost equivalent to the number of biker death. What do road safety specialists expect to impose safety clothing on these particularly vulnerable users? When are helmets and reflective vests mandatory for cyclists, who often drive at speeds equivalent to motorized vehicles in urban centers? When is the obligation to wear high visibility clothing for pedestrians crossing streets sometimes poorly lit at night?

It is a safe bet that many tragedies could be avoided if these users almost invisible. Unpredictable behavior and devoid of any form of body protection were more easily spotted and equipped with reflective materials to limit the effects of a fall or fall. An impact against another user.
