Pink reflective vest for hens

According to the manufacturer, the safety vest protect the hens not only from road traffic, but also from adverse weather, and small farm animals will remain clean, dry, and warm. Isolation is particularly suited for poultry chickens that have fewer feathers and are therefore more susceptible to ambient temperature.

Reflective vests for hens began to be produced on customer request.

However, the manufacturer recommends removing the clothes at night so that the hens do not overheat. Nor does it recommend its use at high outdoor temperatures.

Jane Haworth of the British Hen Welfare Trust, who oversees hen breeding in the UK, is of course pleased with the outfits. “They are one of the most sensible things on the market. Because they were demanding, it turns out that people are beginning to keep the hens like their lovers.” At the same time, he hopes that people will stop the hens from wearing them in knitted clothes where they can get tangled.

Just ten days after the start of the sale, about two hundred customers bought the high visibility vest via the Internet. Meanwhile, customers are clearly winning pinks against yellow in a 2: 1 ratio.

Some reflective vests on the market are not visible in the dark

Some reflective vests that are commonly sold here are not visible in the dark. Researchers from BUT in Brno found this. These are, for example, vests bought at the market. Although they have a label about the atheists, they are still not working. The obligation to wear reflective elements in the dark has pedestrians outside the village for more than a year.

Researchers at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication of BUT test the reflective high visibility vests directly on the field. They use a special camera with a camera to create a so-called bright map. It depicts how much the character is at night in contrast to the surroundings. “What you see here is a luminous analyzer, which is built on a digital SLR camera, which is specially adapted for this case, and the photo is analyzed by the software,” explains the head of the Jan Skoda Lighting Laboratory.

Two figurants went into the dark, 80 meters from the car. At such a distance, it must be seen that the driver has reacted to the pedestrian at speeds of about 90 km. The technician with the device in the car is focused, photographed and analyzed. “There is only one safety vest visible from the bright map, the other one can not be seen,” Jan Skoda said.

The Bakery has sponsored safety vests for students

Exactly 109 students of the Local Primary School named after the authors of Children’s Literature received as part of our campaign reflective vests, which are to improve the safety of pedestrians and cyclists on the road.

This time the sponsor of the vests was Pinker, having in our podia and not only many commercial outlets (including the school). In the primary school, everything was perfectly prepared as usual: on the wide corridor, benches and chairs were set up, on which pupils and teachers sat. We explained to the little ones why exactly the safety vest is to be used, we asked them to give the knowledge to their parents and grandparents right away.

It was not without a sweet treat from the sponsor, the owner of Bakery brought with him children’s cakes. All the children received the gifts and high visibility vests; we will visit more schools soon.

The British are protesting against reflective vests

It is specifically about reflective vests modeled on police vests used by officers of motorcycles who ride motorcycles. They have a characteristic cut and a black and white checkerboard. The main difference is Polite, instead of Police.

Where does this opposition come from? According to the initiators of the campaign, the use of such high visibility vests means that road users perceive motorcyclists as police officers, giving the fans of two wheels unjust forums. What is interesting is the petitioners stand… motorcyclists, and some of their arguments are alive borrowed from Monty Python. Ed Elliott representing people who have problems with vests claims that they “destroy the cool image of motorcyclists.” In addition, “motorcyclists are replaced on the roads by yellow minions” and “individuals using vests pretend to be policemen, and this is not helpful or wise.” The petition is directed to not just anyone, because to Prime Minister David Cameron.

What is going on? We do not know very much, but it is certainly another version of the British sense of humor understandable only for British islanders. We know with confidence that vests with the word (instead of the Police) and modeled on police safety vests are quite popular among Polish bikers. Do you have a problem with that?

The action to improve the safety of cyclists

Last weekend, 1-2 July 2017, a picnic for cyclists was held to raise awareness among cyclists and car drivers. The whole action is under the patronage of the Ministry of Interior and Administration. Everyone will receive a safety vest.

Family picnic with a town of attractions for spectators and cyclists was part of the weekend event organized by the Police Headquarters. The event was supposed to pay attention to the safety level of cyclists. The statistics in which you were wounded or killed are terrifying.

According to the data on the KGP website from January to May 2017, fans of two wheels participated in 2628 accidents and collisions. As a result, 138 cyclists died and 2,379 were injured, most of them are not wearing the reflective clothing. According to the Chief Police Headquarters, collisions involving cyclists occur most often during improper maneuvering.

The cyclists themselves are also not guilty. Their negligible knowledge of traffic regulations can lead to extremely dangerous situations. Like the one in Gliwice, when the cyclist collided with a passenger car. It turned out that the lover of the two wheels ignored the road signs and drove down the street, right under the wheels of an oncoming car.

Sedro during the weekend picnic also encouraged cyclists to use reflective vests significantly increasing their visibility on the road and helmets. This last element, with possible collision with vehicles, can save the head from serious injuries.

Check the lights in the car for free

As part of the nationwide campaign, “Your lights – your safety,” drivers from Czestochowa could check for free the correctness of the lighting settings in their cars. Uniforms explained to the participants of the action how important it is in the autumn-winter period to have good visibility on the road. The police officers also handed out reflective vests and bands, which will certainly help to improve the safety of unprotected road users.

The impact on road safety depends largely on the drivers themselves. From the skills and experience of the person who will sit behind the wheel and its psychophysical state. Road safety is also influenced by the technical condition of vehicles.

Many drivers remember that you need to wipe the headlamps when they are dirty or replace the bulbs if they are burned out. Few remember, however, that you also need to set the lights at the right angle. In the autumn / winter period, the wrong setting of lights often causes the illumination of other lights, or it is too late to notice a pedestrian or an obstacle on the road.

As part of the nationwide campaign, “Your lights – your safety,” drivers in safety vest from Czestochowa could make a free review of the correct setting of car lights last Saturday.

Bicyclists received fines and reflective news from police

The Road Police has organized a new ample action to control cyclists traveling on public roads, while police officers from the Prevention Department have also put in place a preventive action, in which reflective vests have been divided.

The action took place at the end of last week, between September 1-3. Specialist prevention specialists distributed over 60 reflective safety vests and told cyclists about the minimum measures they had to take to avoid casualties in accidents. As regards the action of traffic police officers, 192 fines were imposed, amounting to over 60,000 lei, some of them by bicyclists. Such actions are organized periodically due to the high number of accidents involving cyclists. Police statistics show that since the beginning of this year, 24 serious road accidents have occurred in Suave County with the involvement of cyclists, in 17 of them blame being exclusive of bicycle drivers.

Unfortunately, four people died because of these accidents, although there was a two-fold decrease in deceased persons over the same period last year. For whom he still does not know, the fines provided by bicycle legislation are particularly high. The minimum sanction is 6 points of fine, 870 lei respectively. So keep safety with reflective elements on road is very importance.

Safe on the way to school

To safety: 50 girls and boys of the first two classes of the primary school with their new safety vest. The picture shows the primary schoolchildren with headmaster Stephanie Bachmann (in the foreground) as well as in the background (from the left) Teacher Sonja Riedel, Klaus Ulbricht, Ronny(ADAC), police superintendent Volker, Mayor Mathias, Barbara and teacher Lena.

The motto of the action of the ADAC Niedersachsen / Sachsen Anal, the police and the Post DHL, which yesterday equipped the two first classes of the primary school with 50 safety vestures, is “quite bright”. Nationwide 70,000 first-graders receive the safety vestiges, with nationwide 750,000.

Embedded in a nice entertainment program with singing, designed by the first and second classes of the school, the transfer took place. “In dusk or in the dark, children with yellow, reflective vests are visible from about 140 meters away.” Stephanie Bachmann welcomed the ADAC staff member Barbara, the “Yellow Angel” from the ADAC staff service Ronny, Mayor Mathias, Klaus Ulbricht of the Menden and police officer Volker Grebe, the contact person for all schools and kindergartens in the old district of Menden.

Volker Grebe appealed to the children to wear the safety vest not only on the way to school, but also outdoors during their free time. “The West does not just look cool, they also protect you,” he said. The bright yellow, reflective vests with hood and the traffic detectives Felix and Frieda on their backs make children especially visible in the dark season on the way to school and in the leisure time. Road users can recognize children early with a safety vest and react in time.

“At dusk or in the dark, children with the yellow, reflective vests are visible from about 140 meters away,” explained Barbara. As a comparison she called darkly dressed children, which can be seen only from 25 meters. Together with Tristan from the second class and Mathias Eiders, Grebe made a flashlight experiment in which he impressively illustrated how to see with and without a vest.

ADAC staff member Barbara also mentioned a competition where the children who wear the high visibility vest can participate and win 500 Euros for the class.

Clothing for poor visibility in autumn and winter

Market: With the product line Magic Vision, the French traditional manufacturer would like to appeal to those who do not allow themselves to be stopped by cool temperatures and short days of cycling during the autumn and winter months. Special attention was paid to the developers for good visibility by reflective material – not just at night but also during the treacherous hours of dawn.

For all those who regularly ride the bike during the autumn and winter, the bad weather conditions are also a big challenge. Whether on the way to the office or during a winter training session: the days are short and the chance to sit on the bike even after dark is correspondingly high. In order to be easily visible in road traffic and to prevent possible accidents, the right clothing is the right choice. Reflective vests are now found on a large part of the bike wear, but the French manufacturer Magic goes one step further with its vision collection.

For bicyclists, these two times 30-45 minutes per day are also so dangerous, since conventional reflectors barely develop their effect and lose their appearance in the dim light. At Magic, therefore, one has thought about it and equips the entire vision product line – from the waistcoat to the helmet – with two different reflector materials. In addition to the already known silver / white surfaces, the Magic yellow reflective elements are supposed to improve visibility during twilight.

The new collection, as used by Magic, focuses primarily on sportive riders: endurance, body-concave cut and good vapor permeability are just two consequences of sporting orientation. The vision of the H2O Vest is undoubtedly one of the highlights of the Vision products: this waterproof safety vest is a faithful companion in the dingy weather and when the training ride reaches again into the evening hours.

Police in safety vest said that he had the right to do so

Our reader recorded a police car in Gdynia when he was controlling speed while standing in a stoppage place. Police officers in reflective uniform say they were allowed to stand there because they were doing their duty, which meant that “there was an out-of-court counter-offender for the offense.”

Our reader registered an unregistered police car on Friday morning when traffic policemen controlled the car radar driving down the street. Flyers see the map of Gdynia in Gdynia.

– Do not the police have traffic regulations? – With such a question he sent us a film.

What about the police? – The actions of the uniformed officers of the road traffic department consisted in controlling the speed. Officers had reflective vests and used a tagged police car. Speed control belongs to the statutory tasks of the police, aims to protect life and human health as a priceless good – explains Michal Ruska from Gdynia City Police Headquarters.

He points out that in recent months there have been 19 accidents in the city, caused by excessive speed. One person was killed and 22 others were injured.

– The activities of the police officers should be interpreted as a non-partisan counter-offense in respect of the exercise of their right or duty. The speed control location has been selected in such a way as not to expose the remaining road users to any danger, Ruska explains.

But there is some reflection. The stop sign was set because someone thought stopping at this place was dangerous. Does the parked police car in this place such a danger to traffic does not cause? And would the driver who would be detained by the police in this place also not threaten the traffic? As traffic officials in safety vest say two cars on a stoppage do not pose a threat, then maybe the sign of the ban is unnecessary?
