RIMBACH – A special fun also attracted this year hundreds of visitors: the Rimbacher Gaudi race. At the end Timo and Josie Pietsch lay just ahead and were able to keep the trophy in his hands.
After soapbox race for the little ones, the friends Rimbacher soapbox had prepared as usual also a contest for the bigger ones. When Gaudi race participants wearing reflective vest could test their team spirit, skill, Trinkfestigkeit, speed and their will to fight from 16 years in the afternoon.
The prerequisite for a successful event were given: The brunch and the awards ceremony for soapbox derby had allowed hundreds of visitors in front of the stage together at the town hall. And the weather was finally a bit more friendly. The Gaudi race could thus make its name.
Like the previous soapbox race for children was also the Gaudi Race charmingly moderated by Thomas Meister. He took it well, the tasks that had to be met on the prepared course imagine.
Before the Gaudi-race however was only the basic idea of ​​competition – transport in costuming water with a wheelbarrow – as co-organizer Daniela Sattler betrayed. The details were then determined spontaneously build.
And who saw like this: The participants of this special race had first to create Workwear: a safety vest, work gloves, protective helmet and a darkened glasses, the only freely allowed on each eye a small gap to see. Among viewers came the costume, which was a novelty in the already long-standing tradition of Gaudi race, good.
So dressed was the first task for the candidates to eat a currywurst. To increase the difficulty, while one team member had to feed the other.
With his mouth full, we went to the fountain. Here three or more buckets should be filled with water and placed in a wheelbarrow. Where the buckets had to be transported not only on a board. But when transporting the participants should also be sent by rising car tires.

At the end of a narrow victory Timo and Josie Pietsch. They received a trophy. However, the other participants with reflective tape in this fun race did not go empty handed. There was, among other things beer keg, a box sangria and an adorable angel hot water bottle as a gift.
