The latest and brightest light includes headlamps, peripheral, and tail lamps, and rear turn signals. The general manager of Harley said these lights can be a big change for traditional riders, but it is worth the difference.

These improvements can help drivers be more aware of motorcyclists.

“You have to understand that people are on the road for not paying attention and if you wear reflective material and they see you, your odds of not getting into an accident are a lot better,” Jeff said.

Prepare properly for long trips by car

While some prefer the train or the plane to go on vacation, the majority of French people travel by car to reach their destination. However, a long journey cannot be improvised. Here are some tips to make your trip safe and enjoyable.

Prepare your vehicle, equipment, itinerary

The action “A2 that it is safe to bet on reflections!” is to convince young people that although the vests are not too stylish, it is worth to wear them, because they improve safety. The TVN24 reporter checked how much night wear this piece of clothing. What must be in the car?

In accordance with the provisions of Polish law, a fire extinguisher and a warning triangle must be present in the car. It is worth noting that the extinguisher must be in an easily accessible place, so it should not be in the trunk, but rather, under the driver’s seat. For lack of easy access to a fire extinguisher, we are threatened with a fine. The extinguisher should be inspected at least once a year and its weight must not be less than 1 kg. In addition to the fire extinguisher, a warning triangle with a valid approval mark should be placed in the car. The triangle must also be marked with the vehicle during towing. The lack of these two basic appliances may result in a mandate or a negative result of a technical review.

 

Is a first aid kit obligatory?

In Poland, there is no obligation to have a first aid kit in a car, but there is already a duty to help an accident or injured person. Therefore, a first aid kit and safety vest should be in every car, regardless of the requirements of the legislator. According to the Act, however, in some cases, a first-aid kit is an obligatory element of equipment, and this applies to buses, taxis, trucks transporting people and driving vehicles. When choosing a first aid kit, you should consult a pharmacist, because the cheapest models do not always have the right amount of medicine.

 

What else is useful in the car?

Very useful equipment can be a reflective vest. It is small, and will make more visible to other drivers in the event of a fault or stopping on the road. In the car, it is also worth having a simple set of tools, thanks to which we will repair minor defects that may happen on the road or make it easier for us to change the wheel. Being aware of having a CB radio or video projector can also have a positive effect on our driving comfort.

Reflective vest protect the cyclists safe

We started with a short theory lesson. The police officers paid attention to the need to use reflective material and to comply with the provisions of the two-wheeler. They discussed the most common offenses committed by unprotected road users, gave tips on how to proceed to be safe on the road. The mayor also appealed for reason and prudence. After the lecture, the police officers in the Road Traffic Department checked the possession of cycling cards and the technical condition of two-wheelers. Lacks in the equipment has been completed. The officers handed bicycle lamps, bells, vests, and reflective hats. Then the laughing peloton traveled about 10 km long, which led from Wanaka, through Gnat. There were more attractions waiting for the participants there, including prepared by the members of the TSO a common bonfire.

 

The meeting was enriched with classes in first aid. Paweł Mieczkowski provided advice and tips from Putsch WOPR and students from the Schools. The topics were, among others proceedings in case of loss consciousness, epilepsy, hemorrhage, fractures of limbs / wounds due to falling from a bicycle. The children eagerly took part in the classes, had many questions, and shared insights.

 

We hope that joint promotion and building the right relationship on the line “driving another vehicle – pedestrian – cyclist” will contribute to the increase of road safety, and the knowledge and skills acquired will apply in practice.

Police action to prevent accidents involving pedestrians

Over the coming week, road police officers in reflective vest across the country will step up their actions to prevent road accidents involving pedestrians! – Not to cross the front or rear of the public transport when they are stopped at the station

– Children should not be allowed to cross themselves – they are unpredictable and cannot appreciate distances and speeds correctly. Do not forget!

– Children imitate the road behavior of adults.
