How many reflective vests do I have to carry in the car? Although we usually carry one, or two, it is convenient to know how many we are going to travel, to carry the corresponding emergency vests.

 

We can ask ourselves how many emergency vests we have to carry in the car, especially when we travel with the whole family, because surely, as usual, we travel alone in the car. On a day-to-day basis, when traveling to work or shopping, only one person usually occupies cars. Therefore, in case of breakdown or emergency, a single reflective vest helps us get out of the car.

That is, without a vest it is forbidden to get out of the car … so we must take the number of vests needed for the occupants.

 

In case of emergency or a breakdown of a vehicle, the drivers will conveniently signal the vehicle, turning on the emergency lights and, where appropriate, for example, between sunset and sunrise the parking lights.

 

When leaving the car, we place the reflective triangles

In the same way, we will have to place the danger signaling devices – the popular triangles – unless the traffic conditions do not allow it. 1 triangle will be placed behind and 1 ahead, at a distance of 50 meters -respectively- from the damaged vehicle and visible from 100 meters. By the way, in one-way roads, or more than three lanes, a single triangle at 50 meters, and visible from 100, located behind the vehicle will suffice.

Equip with reflective vest to keep visibility

– in case of power failure or technical failure, turn on hazard warning lights, equip yourself with reflective vest, remove occupants off the roadway and place reflective triangles, one after the other, at greater distances!
