On an adventure tour around the Spree

Fifteen Spremberger students got to know their homeland in new ways.

What a great holiday start! Many students had applied for the adventure tour at the dealership Schulze, for 15 girls and boys of the primary school Knollenberg it was said: you are there! This adventure tour has two goals. On the one hand, the understanding of the native environment, getting to know regional peculiarities, as well as natural and socio-scientific contexts, should be promoted. On the other hand, such a multi-day company contributes to the character formation, because it is not without reason: in the team by “fat and thin”. The children learn their own limits and learn to respect the opinions of others in a small space, to support each other – this is another challenge during this tour.

On the morning of July 6, Anja Ruhe from the Autohaus Schulze and the branch manager Spremberg Max Schulze handed each child a backpack, each with a bread box, water bottle, reflective tape for the arm or leg, reflex light for the backpack and a rain poncho. In addition, there was a diary with good wishes, which is to be filled every day by the children with their experiences and a Teddy, who assists the group on their hike. Accompanied by school social worker Uwe Selge and headmistress Heike Pfeiffer, the children climbed into the support vehicle and started their first destination, Niedergurig. From there, the first hike led to Wartha, where a visit to a village school museum and a nature trail were planned. Stayed at the campsite. The next day the trek led from Wartha to Klitten, combined with a visit to an old church.

There was a lot of information about coal lore and then lots of fun on the Bärwalder See. The next station Boxberg was well filled in addition to swimming with a lake cruise and the visit of the Protestant community center and overnight there. Unknown territory in the double sense of the word was opened to the students the next day when visiting the site of the Bundeswehr in Neustadt, and at the meeting with the nature expert Lenni Piltz many questions were answered. After the last night, we, unfortunately, went back to Spremberg. Everyone had fun on the informative hike on the Spree. On the arrival at the small market in Spremberg, there was a real little reception on the 10th of July: parents, friends and the sponsors were waiting for the children, who of course had a lot to tell. Five eventful days lie behind the students and their companions. The concept has worked out and encourages further annual adventure tours at the beginning of the holiday season in order to discover new destinations in our home country in different ways.

Reflective motion – Reflectives save lives

To be seen saves lives – the history of the reflex movement

Although I worked with visibility and reflexes (as a salesman and marketer in one of Sweden’s leading companies in the field of reflex manufacturing) I did not think so much about how I myself appeared for motorists. It doesn’t matter much, I thought. I see the cars and don’t have to go out into the street if there is a car. Although I always bore reflexes on me, I noticed that not many adults did so for the same reason.

I worked for several years with selling reflexes to stores and also noticed that the interest was pretty cool. No store invested in reflections or cared much about them. Neither they nor I really understood why reflections are so important.

Until I myself drove a car and was driving a man. The person went along a country road that I drive every week, to get to the stable where I take riding lessons. It is a narrow road without road lighting and it is crowded to meet cars. A little further on a straight, I see that there is an oncoming car. I keep myself far out of the way so that the meeting is easy. All of a sudden, as of nowhere, a person comes straight to me. It is a man who is out with his dog. At the same time, the oncoming car is getting closer. I hesitate and manage to stop the car on the roadside just in time to not drive the man with his dog. He cabins with my fist to me and calls me speed.

I kept low speed, below the allowed speed, when I planned for the meeting with the other driver. The person with the dog did not seem at all. Neither he nor the dog had reflections on them. Only when they were about 10-20 meters in front of me I see them. Just too short distance! I am extremely happy that I succeeded in stopping the car and very grateful that I kept a low speed.

This incident made me think carefully about this with visibility in traffic. The person in question saw me clearly and wondered why I was aiming to drive him. He did not see the car approaching behind him and for which I created meeting rooms. It made me realize that I cannot rely on myself alone. I need help from motorists by making me visible to them. I started working on teaching store staff and individuals how important it is with reflective materials. Interest was raised and more and more people began to understand that it is important to use reflexes. But reflexes were perceived as boring and there were not so many stores that wanted to take in and sell reflexes. The company I was working on did not sell to the final consumer.

I decided to open my own reflex shop. There was not a single reflex shop in the country (or the world) so it may not be so strange that reflections are not perceived as important (or fun). Numerous I drive Reflex movement which both informs about the important function of the reflex and sells all kinds of reflections, directly to the end users. Interest became enormous and I created collaborations with more manufacturers to get as wide a range as possible. Now everyone can easily and easily provide the type of reflex that is best suited for him or her. We have reflective vests and caps with reflectors, hanging reflectors, magnetic reflexes, hard reflections, soft reflections, reflections for dogs, reflex stickers…

My vision is to get adults to use reflexes to a greater extent. Parents are very good at providing their young children with reflections and children’s outerwear often have reflective fabrics. Onus adults (and young people), the clothes are often dark, so reflections make great use of us. Even if you live in illuminated urban areas you need reflexes. I, who is now extremely aware that there may be people I do not see the longest way, have had to slow down hard even at illuminated pedestrian crossings, just because I did not see the person who started to cross the road. Then it is important to understand that reflections are needed all year and not just in winter.

Being seen really saves the life!

Has the economy become more important than the safety and animal welfare?

Now we are in the season that is probably the worst for the track staff on our race tracks. Plus degrees one day, freezing the other. Snowfall, rain, and frostbite that cause every trainer to lie sleepless.

Lots of water on the course and despite attempts to get rid of the water masses after race four. It was considerably better on some parts of the track. On the run, however, the water was quickly back in place.

The picture above I took after the last race. Driving in the third and fourth tracks of the rally one wanted to avoid.

By the way, it was enough to be an interviewer on the track to be dirty from head to toe.

Ove A: “I hoped they would set up”

All the coaches testified of the same thing. Couldn’t see anything during the race. One had to try to listen to the sound where the other horses were.

Several felt they should be canceled during the race day.

They didn’t do them to fuck. They didn’t do it as bad losers. They did it because they were very scared.

I was just waiting for an accident myself.

Mats Djuse to attack after the victory: “Just to cancel”

Criticism was hard on the stall hill from coaches and coaches. Many thought that the track staff should have done in some other way.

It is possible that the assets were right. But it is also possible that they were wrong.

The track staff can at least not be raw because we have a very strange spring in central Sweden.

But without knowing how to take care of a course, it is possible to state that the course was not good. It was lousy. But apparently good enough for the banquet veterinarian to release the horses.

Now it is not just the Östersundstravet that has been hit by bad paths just this time every year. But there is no greater comfort when it does happen. Now we were in Jämtland this Wednesday lunch when coaches said it was deadly at work.

You chose to continue the race day and it went without accidents. Thankfully.

There is a caretaker controller and checks all horses and coaches before the race. It should be a safety vest and the wagons should be full. The horses should not be equipped with anything illegal.

Everything should be so careful. After all, security goes first.

Then they go out on a trotting track with life as an effort.

The path answers: “Get to that criticism”

Strangely, it was also when a coach chose to stroke his horse because he did not want to risk a new fork band injury. The verdict would be a 10-day start ban. In my ears, it sounds wrong with punishment when one considers that the injury risk on his horse is great. Shouldn’t trainers who guard their horses be hailed instead.

After discussion, the starting ban was lifted. Thanks for that.

It sometimes happens that competitions are canceled. You who follow the path know that it is not commonplace. It can happen when the spring thaw causes a risk of drowning or when the fog is dense. Yes, Boden set up a few years ago when it was minus 32 degrees.

I wonder which sport will continue its competition day when the active say that the arena is deadly? It is possible that there are some even if I do not come on someone’s straight arm.

Svensk Travsport is so clear that animal welfare and safety are the most important in our sport.

But is it not that the economy has become more important than both animal welfare and security?

If we ignore the economic. Who thinks it had competed clearly on Östersundstravet this Wednesday?

Motorcyclists will be required to wear a vest and a helmet

Police and municipal guards may require motorcyclists to wear helmets with identification and to accompanying persons, in addition to the helmet, reflective vest with the domain data. In as much, before certain situations, the double companion in the motorcycles will be able to be prevented. The measures are the central axis of a bill that was voted yesterday in the Chamber of Deputies and now must endorse the Senate led by Change to try to combat the phenomenon of “motorcycle”.

These new demands, which yesterday began to generate criticism and reactions from motorcyclists, will only prevail in certain “exclusion zones” and at specific times that will delimit the municipalities from the analysis of the crime map. For example, they could be applied in the blocks of the financial districts in banking hours.

The measures were defended yesterday by the ruling party in the Chamber of Deputies. “We are listening to the demands of the people of Buenos Aires,” said Matías Ranzini, a lawmaker close to Minister Cristian Ritondo. Massimo also accompanied them. “It is in line with what we have been proposing,” said Ramiro Gutiérrez, who also requested that the State hand over security elements and campaign.

The Kirchnerism opposed. “This system does not work. It is proven that it fails and ends up being a booby trap, “assured deputy Susana Gonzalez, who also issued a warning. “Helmets should not be recorded or written. The structure is affected and the factory warranty is canceled. ”

The idea of forcing motorcyclists to wear a vest and helmet was first proposed by former governor Daniel Scioli. Originally, it was applied in Colombia, to combat the phenomenon of hit men.

Scioli sought to apply this requirement to all drivers, which generated criticism and forced them to back down.

Since Cambiemos ensure that the project (which still lacks the votes of the Senate) has nothing to do with that initiative of Scioli. “The requirement will not be universal. The drivers will be asked to wear helmets with the data and accompanying persons in addition to the helmet, vest with reflective tape, only in these areas that will be defined by the municipalities. They can be fixed or movable. In very hot areas, the municipalities may determine that the double companion is prohibited, “Ranzini explained to EL DÍA. The legislator explained that this measure “facilitates the work of the police.”

In this framework, the norm also contemplates shortening to 90 days the deadline to remove the seized motorcycles from the municipal sheds before the destruction. “Last year, 90,000 motorcycles were hijacked. 80% of them were never removed by their owners, “they explained.

Rubix creates an innovative EPI catalog

Rubix has just released “Your EPIs in 24 hours”. The new catalog of the group has an innovative approach, in addition to containing more than 4,000 products, it focuses on the provision of solutions for industrial plants. The aim is that those responsible for prevention have, in addition to the wider range of PPE, solutions, and services that improve prevention in industrial plants.

At the beginning of each section of the catalog, professionals in prevention have at their disposal information and services that allow them to prevent potential problems associated with industrial activity and select the products that best suit the needs of their plant.

This is the case of the problem of hearing loss, which is considered the most common occupational disease worldwide with more than 360 million affected. The new Rubix catalog includes practical information on noise measurement standards and the types of protection each decibel scenario should have. The purpose is, in addition to presenting its range of hearing protection products, to offer solutions on how to optimize the hearing protection of industrial operators. For example, through the Honeywell hearing protection validation service that customizes the analysis of the level of attenuation of plugs, adapting it to each company. Or through the service, offered with “Medop”, of automation of request and delivery of tailored caps.

Solutions for all EPI families

The provision of solutions is transversal to all sections of the catalog and ranges from eye protection (with the 3M protection goggles validation service) to the solutions to select the most suitable footprints for each operator.

Highlights the information on hand protection by the new categorization of risks that has introduced the recent EPI regulations. This new regulation contemplates 3 risk categories. Category 1: Minimum, category 2: Intermediate and category 3: Very serious. Because each category corresponds to different glove typologies, the catalog informs about the requirements established by this new regulation for each category. In this way, the correct choice of the glove is facilitated according to its application or the job position for which it is intended.

The most extensive catalog on the market

Professionals can find in the twelve sections of “Your EPIs in 24h” more than 4,000 products of the first brands of hearing protection, eye protection, respiratory protection, head protection, hand protection, safety clothing and protection, chemical clothing and disposable, welding protection, safety footwear, protection, fall protection, as well as gas detection and plant safety. All this, available in 24 hours.

“At Rubix, we continue to bet on occupational health and safety, and our objective is that all our clients count on us as a reference partner when implementing improvements in the area of risk prevention”, explains Jesús Martínez Planas, CEO of Rubix Iberia.

Among the references in the catalog, figure GISS, brand exclusively distributed by Rubix, which extends its product range in relation to the previous edition with ergonomics solutions or spill control systems and antifatigue carpets, among others.

7 reasons to trust your security to Rubix

The launch of the new catalog is one of the 7 reasons why the industry must entrust its safety to Rubix. “Reasons such as integral management, since it offers different PPE supply and management systems, the immediate availability of the more than 4,000 references of the new catalog with 24-hour delivery time or the company’s service focus. the hand of the main brands in the sector “says Jesús Martínez Planas.

Other reasons, “Our complete technical advisory service, the fact that we are specialists in professional clothing, our comprehensive service of work at height and commitment to saving Rubix.”Jesús Martínez adds.

3,600 new road signs will replace those damaged in Iasi

The indicator holder is covered with reflective foils to ensure their perception during day and night.

“The object of the acquisition is the acquisition of road signs, reflective materials, and related gripping systems, without the support of the road signs”, is shown in the tender specifications.

The municipality will acquire 45 types of signs, and most will be for “Stop Prohibited” (848 pieces), followed by pedestrian crossings (400) and pedestrian crossings (388), while at stations the bus will be fitted with 250 new indicators.

Companies interested in providing the devices must submit tenders by mid-December at the latest. After signing the contract, the winning company has four months to deliver the signs.

The new indicators will replace existing ones that are damaged or will be located to sign new traffic conditions approved at the committee meetings (introduction of unique meanings, intersections, parking spaces, pedestrian crossings, speed limitations, traffic lights, special traffic lanes, etc.).

“Some of the replaced road signs will be refurbished as far as possible and reused when and where it is needed,” said Sebastian, City Hall spokeswoman yesterday.

Canyon presents musical Ultimate CF SLX Kraftwerk

A collaboration between Canyon and the German music group Kraftwerk sounds like music to us. Together they designed the extremely limited Ultimate CF SLX Kraftwerk of which only 21 pieces are made.

The Tour-start in Düsseldorf brings a lot of things to our German friends. Tony Martin is focused on getting a yellow jersey in his own country, but the music world is also getting involved in the Tour circus. In honor of his contribution to music history, Kraftwerk gets its own bicycle design at Canyon. The artwork is based on the distinct sounds that Kraftwerk produces and with which it opened the door for many other artists.

PERSONAL MEMORIES

For Roman Arnold, founder, and CEO of Canyon, this collaboration is very personal. “My memories of parties in the cellars of friends as a teenager are dominated by the numbers of Kraftwerk,” he says. “The band has a special and unique connection with bikes. Everything they do and their music inspired our work at Canyon in many different ways. It is very special for us to be able to honor Kraftwerk in such an appropriate way with these beautiful bikes.”

SEVEN HOUR HANDWORK PER FRAME

The Ultimate CF SLX Kraftwerk is designed with the focus on performing in style. It consists of a frameset that has already won large rounds, combined with the wireless eTap group of Sram and Zipp 303 Firecrest wheels. The handmade piece of art is inspired by the famous live performances, the technical qualities of the band and his visionary approach to music. The geometric pattern that Ralf Hütter of Kraftwerk co-designed is said to be one of the most complex designs that the Canyon Design Team has ever used. Each reflective strip is cut to size and then applied manually with great precision. This complicated process takes no less than seven hours per frameset.

TOUR DE FRANCE-ALBUM

Düsseldorf is also the city where Kraftwerk first made its name in the legendary Kling Klang Studios. After that, the band of co-founder Ralf Hütter became more famous and even made an album about cycling. Hütter had been obsessed with the Tour de France for a long time, so the band released their ‘Tour de France soundtracks’ album in 2003. That obsession also formed the basis for the collaboration with Canyon.

BOOK YOUR COPY

Can’t stop drooling when you look at the Ultimate CF SLX Kraftwerk? Then be there on Monday, July 3 from 12 noon as the chickens to claim your copy. For that, you have to go to the website of Canyon and keep 10,000 euros free. Every owner receives his bike in a specially designed Canyon Bike Guard, in which you will also find a special package that celebrates this collaboration.

TONY “KRAFTWORK” MARTIN

In addition to the 21 limited cars that will be available to consumers, world champion Tony Martin will also complete the opening time trial with the special Speedmax CF SLX in an iconic Kraftwerk jacket. Who knows maybe the reflective tapes will help him to flash to the first leader’s jersey in the Tour. You can clearly see and read that he is keen on winning!
