Unmarked cyclist in the dark is suicide

Being on the bike in the dark and at night driving at least with the blinkers (front white, red), it is clear to everyone. Experts, however, increasingly emphasize that only blinkers are not enough. The best visibility of a cyclist should be supported by a distinctive reflective dress or at least a variety of reflective materials.

This is also the case at the beginning of spring when we are happy to go on a bike, but it is still dimming relatively soon.

In our little test, we tried to compare different types of clothing and enlightenment of the cyclist. We shot the camera from the car as it is in the dark and at night it can be seen from a passenger car one who drives in dark clothes without any reflective warning. We compared him to a cyclist who switched on the rear flashing light and the other who took the reflective tapes on his left hand and leg. The last photos include a biker who invested in high-quality “shining” outfits, such as reflective vests, sleeves, trousers, and leggings.

You see a clear difference in your photos. Even more eloquent is a video. In any case, it has been confirmed that the better the gear and night gear the cyclist has, the safer the ride. We are sure to recommend the front and rear blinkers with the most outstanding lighting elements.

The test proved to be excellent, though not a cheap option for driving in the dark and dark, with a set of complementary reflective clothing: a padded vest, sleeves, trousers, and trousers, or a reflective cap under the helmet. We were most surprised at how bright and functional the shining sleeves were on. Everything that moves and is sufficiently illuminated and distinct, increases the visibility of cyclists and therefore safe.

By the way, said a set of thermal reflective accessories has another advantage. The cyclist is warm at the same time as the evening cools down. Not to mention that the little pieces fit well into a small backpack. Reflective bikes or at least clothing with reflective tapes are now available to the absolute majority of well-known cyclists.
