ADAC safety vests: schoolchildren got vest

ADAC distributed with the Lord Mayor Safety reflective vest to schoolchildren. Start of the action at the community school Carl Schurz. Still in Germany, too many children are still in traffic. Particularly in the autumn and winter the accident risk increases, because the small traffic participants are often seen too late because of the morning darkness. This is why all school beginners in Germany receive a shining safety jacket.

Since mid-September 770,000 security vestments have been distributed to more than 16 700 schools across Germany. This is also the case on Monday at the Bonner Carl Schurz. Bonn’s mayor Jorgen, the board member of ADAC, Gird Blame, and the head of the branch letter Deutsche Post DHL, Heike Mars, handed over 80 safety vests to the first years.

Conductor Patricia Schulte’s opened the action: “We would like to thank the sponsors, a great action.” Nymphs added: “Every child is to be seen well, especially to the youngest that have been trained.” In 2012 6418 children under 15 years of age, 178 of them in Bonn died in road traffic. Ten children died; in Bonn fortunately none. “This is 15 per cent fewer accidents with children nationwide, but children died in the end, which is an incentive to continue our work,” says Blame.

Altogether, around 3200 high visibility vest are distributed to 58 schools in Bonn, and 175,000 are nationwide at over 3550 schools. “We’ve packed about 18,000 parcels for schools all over Germany, and we’re making a clear mark with strong, credible partners,” says Mars. At the end of the event, each child was given a group photo of colored pencils and balloons. The campaign has already been carried out in the fourth year by the “Yellow Angel” foundation of the ADAC, the BILD charity organization.

Knock-out vests for all ABC shooters

School beginners were the first in the Upper Palatinate to get the new ADAC safety vest. On Tuesday was the start of the security vest action. The boys and girls were quite excited, as Jacqueline with her yellow post wheel in the school hall of the school. In her luggage, she had 33 yellow securities for the first years. According to Jorgen Hildebrandt, the department head responsible for traffic at ADAC, Swiss Post is bringing the safety vestments to schools all over Germany.

The responsibility for this logistical task lies in the hands of Marianne, the head of Deutsche Post’s branch office in Bayreuth, which was therefore also a prelude.

Headmaster Siegfried See liger, emphasized that the security campaign was a special action for the children. He showed the children a leaf, which was held in gray tones. On another, the tigers and the bear of Janos were seen in bright colors. The children learned that bright colors such as those of the safety reflective vest were visible. Michael Herbs, Member of the Board of the ADAC, thanked the action partners who “bring this joint car with them” to avoid accidents. “Accidents with children are terrible”. The West was specially tailored to the needs of the pupils. They shone through their high proportion of reflex material. The ADAC traffic detectives Felix and Frieda on the back of the vest accompanied the children on the daily school route.

Mayor Brigitte Natta said that children were getting west because adults were concerned about their health. This jacket should be worn not only on the way to school but also when playing, Natta excited. “Your heart is very dear to us. We want you to come safely to school and home, “said police president Michael Liege. He warned that the fastest way to school was not the best. The children had greeted Liege with an extra reverb, which confirmed that they had no trouble with the police.

Dr. Wolfgang Laths, the district chairman, took the parents into the duty: the children should calmly remind their parents. “Keep an eye on your parents to think about you.” Laths gave a lesson on traffic safety to his parents. Especially when the time pressure, parents with their children often would not stop at red at the traffic lights. The larger adults could easily see the drivers. The children who follow them are small – and therefore in great danger. Laths: “Accidents should not be, therefore: Take me the vest.” The comment function is exclusively available to our subscribers. As a subscriber, please log in or register. Homeland researcher with safety vest in the subsoil

Although the gas warning device continually beeped, CO2 values of up to 0.7 volume percent were indicated and the employees of the urban drainage were visibly nervous – Roland Bugle, honorary representative of the Land Memorial Office, was not to be stopped on Wednesday morning: “I get down there and done. “With an orange safety vest, a rope around his belly, and a yellow helmet on his head, he descended over a ladder into the old shaft whose access had previously been opened by the employees of the city drain before the health food store. On his own responsibility, so the agreement – and Bugle was, when he came back to the top, glad that he was down, “but not satisfied”.

In the five minutes he could spend in the ground, he could just descend down the steps of a spiral staircase and dare to look around the corner. There he discovered a low channel, which runs in a southerly direction but does not carry any water. Light, which could point to the opening for the better ventilation open before the Brunel – and thus a channel connection – Bugle did not see. For this, he wear the safety clothing and discovered a framed inscription below, which he did not know how to interpret quickly: apart from the year 1876, the letter sequence IFVFL is carved into the sandstone, and HC and the numbers 18011 below measured, are 15 centimeters high and 45 centimeters wide.

The fact that Bugle in reflective vest has gotten a chance to descend into the subsoil is thanks to the construction site on the other side: for the construction of a four-storey flat roof building, which is to accommodate 22 properties and a two-storey garage GmbH had the existing building demolished. And when in June a construction site vehicle broke the manhole cover in front of the property while driving over, a six-meter-deep, built-in shaft appeared unexpectedly, a testimony of history.

Transport education: Safe on the road

Under the motto “Children do not have brakes”, the traffic safety advisors and district officers of the conduct a traffic education campaign in all the kindergartens of the district of Coifed. Their target group is the children who move to primary school after the summer holidays.

The action took place in the Von-Galen-Kita. Traffic safety adviser Ralf Desman sat down among the girls and boys in the chair circle. The police chief commissioner told the children that the police were a “friend and helper” for them. Ratchet, safety vest, handcuffs and other parts of the equipment more showed Ralf. The children were happily putting on police officers, although they were much too big for their heads.

In the coming weeks, Ralf Desman will return to the Von-Galen kindergarten to train the right behavior in road traffic with the future first years. “Children have no brakes, they can be easily distracted, and they are not small adults either,” explained Ralf Desman. “Both this realization and the fact that humans have not developed an innate instinct for traffic hazards makes the unconditional necessity of intensive traffic education work clear.” It is important that parents also strive to ensure the safety of children in road traffic.

“Since practical exercises with the children on the road are not to be replaced by any teaching methods, the local district officers of the police will conduct practical exercises with the children on the street during the second visit together with the teachers,” explained the traffic safety adviser.

For all parents an information event on “Child as a pedestrian and rider” as well as “Child as a cyclist” is offered. “The closer the police, the educators and the parents work together, the greater the hope that the children will be able to move safely on the streets with wear reflective vest in the future,” says Ralf.

Success model for a safe school path

A total of twelve children arrive at the four stops this morning – even a special stop sign was set up for this. Mother Timken reports: “Every family is one or two times a week to accompany the children. Every child wears a safety vest and has a ticket which is tapped at the destination. ”

The head of the Mariachi, Andreas, regards the parents ‘initiative as a good thing: “This clever idea guides the children to cope with their own path of schooling.” He could also understand parents’ cares well. Fearer would always make it difficult for the children to come safely across the street and there was really a lot of traffic. “It is best to have the parents do the right behavior with their children on other occasions with their children and to discuss dangerous situations, wear reflective clothing will be helpful” recommends Sobering. As a challenge for the children, Mother Julia also sees the long way to school: “But the bus on legs is a huge relief for us parents, especially when you have several children.” In the morning, two adults always accompany the bus “the kids are great.”

Nevertheless, such a large “vehicle” has to master bottlenecks. Timken reports: “As a bus, we can barely overtake, and similarly, other students and drivers sometimes feel more of an obstacle.” And so all participants in reflective vest are asked to ask other passengers: Always keep enough distance and pass as slowly as possible along the bus.

A safety briefing and a safety vest for visitors

Daimler is once again providing insights into its project testing center. The public showed great interest last year. Visitors wear reflective vest can visit the site of the future Daimler test and technology center from a viewing platform during the course of construction site tours. The first guided tour took place at the end of April 2016 for the members of the municipal council and the local councilors.

The first guided tours on the largest earthworks site in Europe have already been announced for the spring. On the grounds of the former military training center, the realization of the Daimler Test and Technology Center is making rapid progress and the visitors are coming back soon can already see much more of the test areas and test tracks than they did last year. However, the response to the offerings of the construction sites was already great from the beginning. Between May and October 2016, visitors in yellow vest were invited to take a tour of the Daimler site.

Interest is very big: Soon after Daimler had begun work on the 200 million euro project in the autumn of 2014, the desire was made to give the public an insight into the unique construction measures. The Automaker finally announced that he would set up a glass construction site. At the end of April 2016, the municipal councils of Giessen were able to look around the site at the construction site. On Sunday, 8 May, the general guided tours began. The response to the specially set up registration portal was great.

Still no start date 2017: After the end of the current winter break the construction site will be continued in the spring. “An appointment for the first tour has not yet been finalized, but it will soon be,” said Daimler press officer Oliver at the request of the SOUTH CURIER. First of all, various votes were needed. There you have to register via the online tool. Reservations are valid only after confirmation.

The program of guided tours: Due to ongoing construction site operations, the guided tours can only take place on Sundays. As soon as the rides start again, there are three, each 90-minute guided tours for up to 30 participants each Sunday. Start times are at 10 am, 1 pm or 3.30 pm. starting point is the Daimler (former soldier’s home). At the beginning of the guided tours, there is a short introductory presentation to give the participants some important information about the test and technology center. Afterwards visitors receive a safety briefing and a safety vest. You will then be driven to a viewing platform with a touring bus. During the journey and on the platform, visitors receive first-hand detailed information about the Daimler AG project. This task is carried out by a so-called guide.

ADAC equips primary school pupils with reflective vests

The first years of Larder were happy with Birgit Wilber, Cordial Lindeman, Margareta Busch, Gondi and Christian Wenzel over the reflective vest. The school path can be dangerous. Every year, especially in the “dark season”, many children under the age of 15 are killed in traffic.

“Therefore, children on the way to school should wear reflective clothing, such as a safety vest,” explained Margareta Busch of the Motorsport Club (MSC) Barnstorm in the ADAC Weser-Ems and handed over the West to the first years.

The aim of the ADAC is to drastically reduce the number of children involved in road traffic accidents. “Be seen arrives. Through the reflective material of the safety vest ages children in the dark are well seen from 140 meters away, “Busch made clear. With normal light clothes, this distance is reduced to 40 meters; children with dark clothes are even perceived from 25 meters away. The ADAC Foundation “Geber Engel” has already carried out the campaign several times. Ledford’s first graders have been equipped with the free safety vest for seven years each year.

The key to success, however, is the fact that the children would also wear safety vests. Teachers and parents should pay attention to the fact that the children wear the West daily.

Ledford’s preschoolers promised school principal Beaten Gondi, as well as the class teachers Cordial Lindeman and Christian Wenzel, as well as Birgit Wilber, as head of the school nursery school, to think about the well-visible yellow outfit every day.

At the same time the Brocken first-graders received the safety vest from their class teacher Ursula Meyer.

ADAC hands over safety tests to Linzer

First-year students will soon be back in the dark in the autumn and often master their own path for the first time. It is not only the school path that has to be a routine. Also wearing a safety vest for better visibility should become a matter of course.

Therefore, it is “quite bright” when the first-graders regularly wear the safety jerseys of the ADAC “Geber Engel” Foundation on their way to school or in their spare time. Children often cannot correctly estimate road hazards, as their physical size lacks an overview. Similarly, the directional hearing is not pronounced and the field of view is restricted. Thus the approaching traffic “from the eye angle” cannot always be recognized.

60 first graders, the mayor Elementary School in Linz got bright eyes, as they Chief Operating Officer of ADAC Middle Rhine, Rudi Speech, head of Herbert Fuss, first Assistant Secretary Thomas Balsas, Bernd Dietrich by Deutsche Post AG and road safety officer of the police station Linz, Nadine, the striking West as well as small further gifts. Rudi Speech appealed especially to the parents to make their children more visible: “bright and reflective clothing, like our safety vest, contributes to this.”

The accident rates with children are still very high. In 2015 alone, 28,235 children under the age of 15 were killed in traffic, 84 of them died. In children between six and nine years, 7,671 children were involved in an accident, 20 were killed. Common causes: the kids are just too late. Particularly endangered here are the newcomers, who still have no or only a few experiences as traffic participants, first have to get to know their school path.

Rudi also made this clear in his speech. “We hope that our action will result in fewer accidents, because the ADAC is particularly important to our children. And the best protection is to be seen well. “However, it was important that Speech said emphatically to the children,” that you are always careful with reflective Vest “. In total, the ADAC will distribute 22,233 safety vests to the youngest of the 615 primary schools this fall.

Children received a safety vest as a reward

“Colorful diversity – all less than one roof” was the motto of this year’s school festival of the Friedrich, which had to offer an equally colorful and diverse program. The official welcome was received by the pupils themselves: “We welcome you on behalf of the Children’s Council. The children wear reflective vest was also prepared for a welcome speech, coordinated by Christophe Underlet, and a welcome parade in several languages.

Since headmaster Markus Taube is currently on parental leave, he was only a guest at the school party. That is why the deputy headmaster Silk Seitz took over the task of welcoming the numerous visitors: “Diversity can be found in many areas: as we have seen, this is among other things the cultural diversity that brings us together in the classes and classes, but also in other areas: school, photo-center, musical elementary school and WPU courses.

In addition, Seitz reported: “Activities are also taking place in the framework of projects that we undertake as an Enesco school. These include exchanges with our partnerships in Lithuania, excursions to Enesco World Heritage sites and cooperation with the world shop or clubs, schools in Burkina Faso support. “A planning group led by Carton Schaech and Maria Günter had taken over the organization of the school festival. A number of cooperation partners such as the youth promotion of the city of West with the focus club, the DAK Blenheim, the Yana Soma association and the world shop were also represented with stands.

At the stand of the municipal youth promotion West and the association Focus the children in warning vest could go on a trip to a village in Senegal. Through cooperation with the children’s museum in the suitcase from Nuremberg, the guests were able to relive the everyday life of a family in Africa. An employee of the museum in the suitcase has brought many photos and objects of use from a visit to a family in Senegal. “We make a rattle,” two girls proudly said, “It’s not that easy!” Visitors were given the opportunity to taste or to taste African food.

At the DAK stand, the children were able to save the badge Max with a quiver and received a safety vest as a reward. Class 9 has produced key trailers and sold them at a booth. The proceeds will benefit the projects in Burkina Faso. Particularly sought after were the childish make-up and the raffle. With a “passport”, the children were able to visit different countries across the school grounds and take part in activities there. For each station there was a stamp – from eight stamps the young got a small price? Whether goal wall shooting, can throwing, ball games, a quiz about the school, the world shop or a nutritional quiz – both physical and mental skill and skill were to prove. In the sports hall, the young guests in a bouncy castle could really let off steam.

The obligation to use reflective elements by all pedestrians

On August 31, the amendment to the Road Traffic Act came into force. It introduces the obligation to use reflective elements by all pedestrians irrespective of age, moving in the dark at an undeveloped area. Until now, such an obligation was only for children under the age of 15.

This is a very important change. Cops and experts underline that after a pedestrian with a glare, the driver will notice five times faster than the unmarked. A person moving at dusk on the unlit road is practically invisible. The driver will only notice it from a distance of 20-30 m. If we assume that the allowable speed outside the built-up area is 90 km / h, and the minimum braking distance at this speed is 90 m – we see that the pedestrian has no chance. Already one reflective element causes it to be visible from 150 m, in which case the driver has enough time to slow down, slow down and safely avoid him.

The new rules do not talk about how to wear reflective elements or how they look. They only require you to be visible to other road users. Experts emphasize that the lights of the car do not illuminate the entire silhouette of the pedestrian. They are suspended low (about 25 cm above the ground) and illuminate the road asymmetrically – more light is falling on the right side of the road. That is why reflectors should be placed as low as possible and right on the right. The right leg is the right leg – knee and ankle. Reflectors can be pinned to the legs or shoes. It is also worth to have a retro reflector also at the back, at back height, so that pedestrians are also visible to the rear. It is therefore worth to invest in a reflective vest or take care of the glare of our children’s backpacks or satchels.

“One glare can protect against disability and even save lives,” emphasizes Marcela, head of the Social Prevention Section of the Traffic Department of the Capital Police Headquarters. Unfortunately, pedestrians often do not remember the safety of their own and others, and they make up nearly 9 percent all accidents. The worst part is that they are dead themselves. What mistakes do we most often commit? First and foremost we go out on the street directly in front of a car or behind another vehicle such as a bus or a car. In this situation, the driver has no chance of reaction. Besides, constantly, we often cross the road in an illegal place or in a red light – he notes.

Masonic self-government cares for the safety of children and young people. Since 2002 he has organized the “Safe Road to School” campaign, where students from grades 4 to 6 of primary schools in Masuria learn the rules of road safety. The students received sets of young cyclist – helmets, bicycle lighting, safety vest and reflectors.
